DANIELE CAZZATO
Painting

Daniele Cazzato, born in Turin in 1964, lives and works in Bossolasco, in the Upper Langa area, in Piedmont. He studied at the Vittorio Veneto High School of Arts and, then, the Arte Studio of Turin, where he attended art graphics, illustration and design courses for three years. He built his own artistic personality for eight years with the support of Francesco Preverino, a teacher at the Accademia Albertina of Turin.
He taught painting and art history at the Arte Studio-Vittorio Veneto High School of Arts and was a member of the organizational artistic board of the Piscina Arte Aperta Museum of Contemporary Art of Pinerolo (Turin); he also worked with Italian and foreign companies as an advertising designer and illustrator; he wrote children’s books published in the East by Sun Ya Publications (Hong Kong).

In 1992, he moved to Bra to establish the Novalia School of Arts (later transferred to Savigliano) and worked exclusively on training courses and his own artistic research. In 2007, he created the artistic event “Le Immagini dell’Arte” for the city of Bossolasco and worked as its artistic manager by creating and designing the exhibition area, which currently hosts the city’s municipal museum. In 2008, he created a contemporary sculpture park named Sentè d’Art.
He worked as an art designer for both public and private exhibition areas. In 2010 and 2011, he created personal painting and sculpture exhibits and, in collaboration with his friend Antonio D’Amico, he worked as a visual designer during the establishment of the Art Observatory of the Province of Cuneo. He created, with the sponsorship of the cultural department of the city of Busca, a series of conferences called The orchard, the garden and the woods of creativity – Metaphors of ancient and contemporary art (Il frutteto, il giardino e il bosco della creatività – Metafore sull’arte antica e contemporanea) – in order to allow the citizens to understand, respect and understand art and creativity.
2012 and 2013 were entirely dedicated to artistic/photographic projects.
He worked on the monument named “The Angel of Upper Langa” (“L’Angelo dell’Alta Langa”) from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, he founded “Novalia, the Free Art Academy".
